This hotel far exceeded our expectations! It is in a great location for all your transportation needs. The lobby is located on the 15th floor which means your room is somewhere above that. Our superior twin room was on the 23rd floor and was very nice. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. There were lots of amenities that we made good use of. We appreciated the size of the room that left space for us to easily move around in as well as keep our luggage off to the side. The window view was nice. The buffet breakfast at this hotel is one of the best we've had! Not only was the variety of food choices amazing, but the barista style hand crafted coffee was awesome! A word of caution - the hotel is located above the train station and you can hear the trains at night (freight trains pass through here), but the hotel did let us know ahead of time. It didn't bother us much as we were exhausted from sightseeing and fell asleep almost immediately. If we go to Nagoya again, we would definitely stay here!

convenient location with clean neat rooms. It's above shops and the train station so very easy to get around. Could hear the noisier trains going past but just barely; not enough to be annoying. Was a good breakfast buffet.

This is our absolute favorite place to stay in Nagoya. We are travel bloggers and have a Youtube channel exclusive to Japan, and we travel to Japan for extended periods multiple times a year. We LOVE Nagoya and the JR Gate Tower is the best hotel in our opinion. Rooms are very well designed and bedding very comfortable. I love the views out over the station tracks and the desk area with a view. Also like the built in sofa in some of the rooms, and sitting area in the corner rooms. My wife loves all the drawer space. These rooms have more drawer space than a lot of hotel rooms with much larger rooms. This allows us to unpack our roll on bags and feel like we are home at the end of the day. The large closets are also a nice touch. The bath and dressing areas are spacious and in room amenities are plentiful. When we've stayed in a corner room, there are large floor to ceiling windows in the dressing area and shower/bath area. Fun to look down below at night (with the room lights off), although my wife prefers the blinds to be closed. A nice touch in the corner rooms is that the toilet is in its own water closet room. One very important reason we like the JR so much is the breakfast. This isn't the largest breakfast buffet we've encountered, but it is absolutely one of our top two favorites in all of our travels. The food is widely varied and delicious, and the atmosphere of the dining areas is wonderful. There is one large room with big windows looking out over the city. Another more intimate room is more like a library with casual seating. Then during the warmer months, there is a large open are garden/patio area which is very nice during good weather. Finally, we love the proximity to Nagoya Station. Only the Marriott Associa hotel has a comparable location (and it is more expensive). You can walk from your train to your room without having to be in the weather. Outstanding shopping within steps of the hotel.

Convenient location next to train station, lots of restaurant options. Room was super nice. I had the queen bed with a nice view of the train tracks. The size of the room was actually decent, didn’t feel cramped, and they really made use of the space such as adding drawers to allow more space. Very few hotels made room for drawers in my 6 week trip- so this was really helpful especially for small rooms and multi day stays. All amenities are available except I wished there was self service laundry facility- the laundry service can get pricey if cleaning by piece.

I chose the hotel as it was right above the Shinkansen station. I was expecting maybe a slightly tired station hotel as per the UK!! But this hotel was really nice, very very clean, great staff, new modern hotel, nice breakfast ideal for us. Easy to catch the train each day to go to Suzuka for the F1. Also ideal for travelling on using the Shinkansen (bullet train). The hotel reception is on floor 14, which also has a small supermarket, a chemist and a starbucks. Also up on floors 12 and 13 are two big restaurant floors with maybe 30ish restaurants.

I had a short stay of two nights at Nagoya JR Gate Tower Hotel while passing through Nagoya. The location is very central, and with the Shibuya train, it took only seven minutes to reach the hotel. The room was very small but clean and had a fabulous view. On one day, I added breakfast, but as a vegetarian, there were not many options available. Overall, it was a convenient stay, especially for a short stopover.

The hotel is in a great location, above the main train station in Nagoya and pretty easy to find. The facilities are modern and super clean. I booked two rooms for our family of five. They set up three beds in the corner room for our three children, which accommodated them well. Our rooms were beside each other on the 20th floor and the view was fantastic. The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating of our luggage storage before and after our stay. The surrounding area is great to walk around and see the sites of Nagoya.

Very good location by next to train station, there's alot of food selections on the 12 to 13 floor in the same building, plus there's Takashimaya shopping store from 1 to 6 floor, bic camera from 7 to 8 floor, plus Uniqlo and GU on higher floor. There's a Starbucks, pharmacy and convenience store outside the hotel lobby The hotel room has a very tall window of the city view depending which side your room is facing; plus 4 services of coffee using a fancy coffee maker

Hotel is located beside the Nagoya station and bus terminal where you can take JR trains and buses to other places. It is a short distance walk to the hotel. There are plenty of food choices and there is a Takashimaya mall for your last minute shopping. Check-out is quick n easy where you can just drop off the card into their key box. Hotel staff were very kind to allow us to deposit one of our luggage as we head to Takayama before coming back again.
